Join The Solutions Program
If you sell hardware or software products into the mechanical design segment of the CAD market and would like to sell your products to CADMAX customers, then you should apply to become a CADMAX Solution Provider. As a member of the CADMAX Solution Program, potential customers will know that your products work with CADMAX. This will enable them to be confident that your products can be integrated into their design and production environment.
As a CADMAX Solution Program member your will receive the following benefits:
- CADMAX Solid Master to use for product development and support
- Your approved product will be publicized on our web site.
- We will provide a direct link to your web site, along with your link to our web site
- You will be able to promote your products through CADMAX communications programs including, email, direct mail, and newsletters
- We'll provide you direct CADMAX technical support and assist with integration of your products with CADMAX
- You'll be invited to attend an ObjectMAX API training class
It's easy to apply. Fill out the Solution Provider Application. If approved, we'll send you the Solution Provided Agreement to be signed and returned to CADMAX. Depending on your product and its status we may request references, a copy of your product, or proof of conformance.
CADMAX offers several methods that software vendors can integrate their products with CADMAX.
Plug-in Applications
CADMAX's ObjectMAX API supports the ability to create "plug-in" applications that run inside CADMAX. This provides the end-user with an interactive environment built on CADMAX's user-interface and database, creating a single integrated application. The end-user benefits from a consistent user-interface and productivity gains from running one application. Applications can be as simple as a single function, such as a gear program, to a full-fledged application such as CAM or design analysis.
Parasolid Pipeline
CADMAX uses the Parasolid solid modeling kernel which is used by many providers of mechanical applications. The Parasolid format provides an outstanding architecture for sharing model information without translation. The Parasolid transmit file provides 100 percent reliable exchange of model data between products that support it. End-users can be more confident of working with applications based on the Parasolid standard. The Parasolid transmit file format was recently published in an effort to promote and broaden its usage.
Data Translators
Third party applications can integrate with CADMAX through widely supported data translators. CADMAX supports DWG, DXF, STL, and IGES. Many software applications operate in a stand-alone environment and integrate with CAD products by exchanging data via a translator. CADMAX is committed to supporting data exchange through translators and devotes significant engineering effort to maintaining these standards. End-users frequently achieve greater productivity gains by using multiple stand-alone products which are best-in-class for a specific application. With the preponderance of CAD applications, developers are often better served to market stand-alone applications that integrate with multiple CAD products.
CADMAX will work directly with hardware vendors to certify their products with CADMAX. CADMAX is developed for Windows 95/98/NT. Aany products that are compatible with this environment should work with CADMAX. However, there are always minor integration and operational issues that may arise and we require hardware vendors to test their products directly with CADMAX. We encourage hardware vendors to loan CADMAX Corporation their latest product offerings for testing with new releases. In the event that any customer problems occur, they can be resolved quickly.
